We offer both fully installed services and parts-only orders. If you’d like a budget estimate for your project, please complete the form below. If you have any questions while filling it out, feel free to give us a call — our team is happy to walk you through the process.

How We Quote Your Project

At RailPro, we do not price projects using a generic cost-per-lineal-foot formula. Every quote is carefully built from the parts up based on the specific details of your project. This approach allows us to provide the most accurate and fair pricing possible.

We’ve found that lineal-foot pricing often leads to inflated estimates to cover unknowns — or low initial numbers that later increase with unexpected added costs. Our estimating process takes more time, but it results in a more reliable quote with fewer surprises down the road.

Once we have the information needed for your project, most estimates are completed within a few business days.

      Estimate FAQs

      How do I measure stairs?

Stair measurements are critical for a successful installation. We require that you provide the measure of the stairs off the actual steps. We need two critical hard measures.

      1. The slope of the steps needs to be in degrees from horizontal. This is very simple to measure. Just go to Home Depot, Lowes, Harbor Freight and pick up a angle finder for under $10. Lay a level or piece of wood on the stairs, sit the angle finder on the wood and just read off the slope. Check a couple spots ie top middle bottom. Most stairs run somewhere around 33 – 36 degrees.
      2. We need a dimension from the nose of the bottom step to the nose of the landing.

How do I measure a balcony footprint?

To request a balcony quote, you must read the information about Juliet Balconies on the attached PDF and include the footprint dimensions in your form above or email them to us after submitting. Without this information, we won’t be able to provide a quote.

What is the process for a parts-only project order?

For the DIY we can provide parts only orders. You are responsible for providing us with a good layout and we will help you call out the parts. If would be the same if you were building a deck and brought your drawings to the lumberyard. We will help you but will not normally do an on site visit. If you want us to measure your deck, there is a $250 site visit charge.

Glass rail is a two-step process. Once the framework has been installed, you will measure the openings and send us the measurements. We then order the glass, which takes about 7 working days.

Please note that in most cases if you are planning to pick up the materials, you must have the ability to safely transport material that will be 20′ in length. Please don’t show up with a normal auto or SUV.

Parts only projects can be will called at our shop. We can deliver for a per trip fee of $200.00, within a 20 mile radius of the RailPro location. Job sites further out will be quoted.

We want your project to go well, but please know it can be very difficult to answer questions over the phone. If you are at all unsure of your ability to install railing, we strongly suggest you consider having RailPro do the installation.
